Sampat Pal (born in 1960 in Uttar Pradesh, India)
is a women’s rights activist and founder of the Gulabi Gang. The Gulabi Gang was founded in 2006 as a group, donning pink saris, aiming to combat female oppression and corruption. The organization now has more than 200,000 members.
